Transfer of Knowledge (ToK) Event

Virtuous Final Symposium

Summary

The H2020-MSCA-RISE-2019 project VIRTUOUS (https://cordis.europa.eu/project/id/872181) aims at creating a virtual tongue through an integrated computational framework able to screen food for natural ligands targeting taste receptors. VIRTUOUS integrates drug discovery techniques, big-data and machine learning algorithms to predict the profile of Mediterranean ingredients based on their chemical composition. In this final symposium, which also represents the last Transfer of Knowledge (ToK) Event, the main results of the VIRTUOUS project will be presented by all the project partners around Europe and external VIRTUOUS partners. In particular, the DEMO of the Virtuous platform and applicability test by stakeholders in and outside the project will take place. Moreover, this event will strengthen and promote collaborations for further related research. In a fruitful synergic environment, also keynotes of invited speakers external to the Consortium will be delivered.

Organizing Committee: Athanasios Kalogeras (kalogeras@isi.gr) Christos Alexakos (alexakos@isi.gr), Marco A. Deriu (marco.deriu@polito.it), and Lorenzo Pallante (lorenzo.pallante@polito.it)

Location: ATHENA Research Center, Artemidos 6 & Epidavrou Marousi, Athens (GR)
